The Android 4.4 (KitKat) update rollout for the Samsung Galaxy S3, the Samsung Galaxy S4, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has been revealed by a leaked document.
The leak comes to us courtesy of iTechAddict. According to the site, “Samsung is notorious for quick updates to its famous Galaxy Lineup including the Galaxy S3 and S4 as well as the Note 2 and Note 3. The Galaxy Note 2 and S3 recently got the jump to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, though the S3 update was put on hold due to some operational bugs that hadn’t been ironed out.
“Samsung remains the most dominant in the Android market share with the Galaxy S series and other Galaxy line of devices. HTC, Motorola and Sony need to use Android 4.4 KitKat to boost sales record attracting more customers and retaining loyal users on using their devices. As such Samsung didn’t need to push for updates so soon, but Samsung being Samsung had waited till the rest announced their plans of the KitKat update till they announce their own. Until a leaked document from the Samsung R&D, India shows the update timeline for their best selling Galaxy lineup.”
